NO WATER!!

What NO WATER!!! Yep, that's right, no water. Late, very late last night my 17 y/old daughter said to me "Mum, there's no water"?? She suggested that she heard a noise outside and thought some kids must have come past and turned the water off at the front of the house. I thought so too, but wasn't going out the front at some unearthly hour to turn the tap back on.

Got up this morning to have a shower before 6am and before going to work.....GUESS WHAT ??? No Water. So off I go out to the front tap, only to find that it is turned on. I figure that there must be a burst water main somewhere, or the Water company have turned it off for some reason or other. So I get dressed and head off to work.....couldn't even brush my teeth. No Happy Jan.

I work as a personal carer, showering clients among other things. Well little did I know that I wasn't going to be doing that this morning. The client that I work with lives not all that far from me and when we got ready to shower him........GUESS WHAT??? Yep, you guessed it by now. No Water!! Well we made do the best we could, but it's a bit hard to shower someone with no water.

I got on the phone and rang The Water company and the recorded message on the other end of the phone said that if you live in (and listed about 7 different suburbs) then you may have no water. Well Derrrrr!!!! Tell me something I don't know. It went on to tell me that there was a burst water main and we would have supply returned about 9am. Well no such luck and it's now 10.32am and we still don't have any water.

Water is such a precious resource these days.....and we just take it for granted that when we turn on the tap in the morning, that the clear stuff with start pouring out. We don't realise how important water is, not only for drinking, but just for a simple things like flushing the toilet.......and it's frustrating when you don't have it on hand.

Well I'm off to buy some drinking water.......that will be in demand this morning!!!!
