MORE WEDDING DAY

The Art Of A Good Marriage
Wilferd Arlan Peterson
Happiness in marriage is not something that just happens.A good marriage must be created.
In marriage the little things are the big things. It is never being too old to hold hands.
It is remembering to say "I love you" at least once a day.
It is never going to sleep angry.
It is at no time taking the other for granted; the courtship should not end with the honeymoon, it should continue through the years.
It is having a mutual sense of values and common objectives.
It is standing together facing the world.
It is forming a circle of love that gathers the whole family.
It is doing things for each other, not in the attitude of duty or sacrifice, but in the spirit of joy.
It is speaking words of appreciation and demonstrating gratitude in thoughtful ways.
It is not looking for perfection in each other.
It is cultivating flexibility, patience, understanding and a sense of humour.
It is having the capacity to forgive and forget.
It is giving each other an atmosphere in which each can grow old.
It is a common search for the good and the beautiful.
It is establishing a relationship in which the independence is equal, dependence is mutual and the obligation is reciprocal.
It is not only marrying the right partner; it is being the right partner.

What a truly lovely wedding. These two are so sweet and just so suited to one another. It was a really really lovely day. It was so lovely to be with family once again at yet another family wedding. In this day and age there are so many people out there that want to have a huge wedding with all the trimmings. But here were two people that just wanted a really simple affair. Nothing fancy at all. But they both loved it and appreciated everything that was done for them. In this day and age it is truly a blessing to find someone that you truly love and who loves you in return.

One thing I have to say here is that the Brides mum Jeanette did the most awesome job of organising everything. It all looked so beautiful. She worked so so hard and I know that she wanted to give her daughter a truly lovely wedding and she certainly succeeded. Jeanette you deserve lots of credit for all your efforts. What a great mum.

The cake and cutting the cake

Immediate family and my extended family.

I think there are times when we under estimate the value of family and the importance they play in our lives. There are the special friends too that will always be there and that share these special days with us too.

Starting married life together is a time full of happiness and joy and I wish Tracey and Jonathan every happiness in their lives together.
