A BAG, A BAG, MY KINGDOM FOR A BAG ....... DAY 20 of BLOGTOBERFEST

McCalls's Pattern M5722
My Bag
Kay Whitt Design

Day 20 of Blogtoberfest and still going strong. Do others feel like me, that with every daily post you are really achieving something. This challenge has really taken me in and given me something to work towards.
Love all the other little pouches and bags that come with this pattern.
I'm guessing you could use them for whatever you choose.

This is a knitting bag, but I'm not sure I'm going to use it for that. I just love the pockets that it has on the outside and the inside of the bag.
When looking at the pattern I even thought that you could use it as a nappy bag if you wanted to.

The Lining

The red is the main part of the bag and the straps
The striped fabric is for the striped part at the top
The yellow is for the strip around the top of the bag and the lining of the straps.

Got the fabrics from the quilting section at Spotlight.

I have wanted to make myself a bag for ages. Not for anything in particular, but rather because I wanted the challenge of making a bag.

When deciding on what fabric to use it took me ages to pick what I wanted. Tell me, does it take everyone this long. There were so many gorgeous fabrics to choose from.
I've come to the realisation that deciding on fabric is a very subjective thing and that we all have very different tastes.

The red fabric jumped out at me and I just needed the other fabrics to go with it.

Wondering how long it will take me to make the bag, and can't wait to finish this project.

That's going to be a very happy and vibrant bag.

What a great bag pattern, I may have to look out for that one.
Thanks for stopping by the other day, it's always lovely when new folk leave comments xx
