NO PHOTOS .... ONLY WORDS.

I don't have any photos to post today, just some words.  I've been feeling unwell for the past couple of days.  Went to the Footy on Friday night with my daughter, Miss 20, to see our team play the Adelaide Crows and spent the night listening to a women screeching like a Banchee.  I'm sure that she wouldn't have had much voice left on Saturday morning.  Shame that she felt like she had to swear, blaspheme and just generally act in a very uncouth way, instead of just supporting her team and having a good time.  Sadly, she also spent a lot of time bagging her own team when they weren't playing so well.

By the time I came home I had a horrendous headache, which I thought was just from her screaming, only to discover when I woke up the next morning, that my sinuses were throbbing and aching.  Spent most of the day in bed resting and did the same today.  Glad to say that I don't have the flu, which was what I thought was coming on.

I've been making the most of my time in bed, finishing off my crocheted rug.  I'm determined to finish it as soon as I can.  I'm on the last couple of rows and can report that I'm definitely in the home stretch now.  Will post a photo as soon as it's finished.  I'm a bit of a starter of projects, but not a finisher .... sad to say.  Bad habit I know, but that seems about to change.  I refuse to start my next project until I finish this one.

I'm also trying to study, but it's a little hard with a headache and is easier just to mindlessly crochet.  Something I don't have to think about.  Hopefully I should feel a little better tomorrow and then I can study.

It's been freezing here over the past few weeks .... really cold.  Colder than usual I feel.  Seems so much colder this year than last winter.  Really don't know if it is colder, but just feels that way.

Since I don't have to work tomorrow, well at least not until a bed shift at 9.30pm, I can continue to rest and get to be 100% better ..... and YAY, I also only have to work at 9.30pm for a short time on Tuesday night, so I can rest for 2 days and really feel better before full days of work on Wednesday and Thursday.  I am so grateful for the time and the chance to rest and get better.

At the moment in our house, we are planning a 21st birthday for the end of August.  Miss 20 will be 21.  She is my baby and perhaps that should be making me feel old.  Nah, doesn't worry me, but I keep on wondering where all the time has gone.  How did my oldest get to be almost 31 and my youngest almost 21 without me noticing.  Seems to happen to all of us when our kids are growing up.

Well I'm off to bed now, or should I say, I'm going to try and go to sleep now, because fact is I'm already in my bed, cosy and warm.

Sweet dreams everyone ......... and good night.
