Reverb 12 ....... Day 27

How will you honour your creativity ?
How did you make time for creativity in 2012 ?
Looking back is there one creative time or one particular creation that stands out for you ?  (Maybe you could share it here).  How will you continue (or start) making time and space for your creative passions in 2013 ?

I will honour my creativity this year by making time for doing the things that I love in 2013.  I didn't do a good job of that at all in the past year, although I had times when I was more creative than others.

Well I think one of the things that I want to focus on this year is, as stated in a previous post, photography ...... see here

So now I need to make some time to achieve this goal.  First will be getting the camera and then learning how to use it and testing it out.  I love being creative with a camera, although at this point mine is only the point and shoot variety, and with them you can only be so creative.

Also this year one of my goals is to learn to quilt.  Take some classes and learn how to do it properly and then to make a quilt for my daughter.  She has been wanting me to make her one for a long time, but I've put off doing it, because I never seem to have the time.  This year I've decided that I need to make the time to do it, rather than waiting for the time to come around, because invariably it never does.   I hope GnomeAngel doesn't mind me sharing this picture on my blog, but I think this quilt is one of the most gorgeous I have ever seen, I love the colours and everything about it.  I just hope when it's my turn I can make something just as nice.

OMG! That was a weird experience to open up a blog page and see one of your own photos! LOL!

DO IT! You can totally learn, and master, quilting. I failed home economics when I was in high school so I never thought that I would be able to quilt - but I just tried and kept at it.

That quilt was the quilt that I made as part of my beginners course and I can't recommend doing a beginners course enough. You'll learn heaps, have someone to help you out and you should come out of it with a great quilt.

I can't wait to see what you create in 2013!

I am going to learn to quilt one day, but that's many years away for me yet.... However, you should take a visit to Kate Conklin Designs http://kateconklindesigns.blogspot.com.au/ She's a freind of mine who has some beautiful quilt patterns!

Oh, I hope you do take quilting classes! How exciting it would be to learn to make something as beautiful as that quilt!
I'm starting Project Life this year, so that is how I'm going to honour my creativity. It will be fun!
